Deliver pet food to homebound seniors within the City of Las Cruces who are on the Food 4 Paws Program:
- Delivers pet food to homebound senior clients on a bi-weekly basis, usually on Wednesday mornings, but can modify to accommodate volunteers.
- Updates the delivery route as needed.
- Gathers necessary pre-packaged food bags and cans for the day's delivery schedule.
- Provides a safety check on the clients and their animal.
- Observes and reports any discrepant health conditions or behavior of homebound clients to site supervisor.
- Reports any changes to the client's living situation.
- Volunteers are able to use a city owned vehicle or their personal operating vehicle.
- Cleans and sanitizes city vehicle as needed.
